That’s right folks; WordCast el solo rocks the Cazbah in this totally hip and happening episode. If listening to one person speak for an entire episode speak is your kind of thing, then this one will satisfy all your insatiable cravings.

Kym, thank you for mentioning the Baltic Amber admin themes plugin, its great to hear that you found it useful.
I initially created it only because I had the same little frustration with the placement of several navigation elements like you did. I was always searching for the link to the Dashboard, which is so small and gray in the top left corner of the screen, so a few days ago I decided to actually look at the CSS and see what can be done to improve that.
I didn’t know about your podcast before, so thank you for the pingback — you have another avid listener now. It will take some time to get through all the previous episodes, but I am sure it will be worth it.
Keep up the great work with the podcast!

Hi Kaspars, thanks for the comment. Not only did I find it very useful but I loved the idea that we could tweak the back end of WordPress to our own devious desires; something which every geek loves to do.
The rearranging of WP features into something intuitive was also a very important factor as to why I liked it so much.
We’re a relatively new podcast releasing episodes every Tuesday (we record to a live audience every Monday at 7 PM Pacific/US time) but the feedback so far has been very encouraging! It could be the banter, but most likely because people are starved for WordPress information, tips and tricks.

Hey, Great show Kym. I was wondering how this would turn out, with you just talking for a whole episode, but it worked out really well

Thanks Jonny. I must admit the show went a lot quicker than it would have if Beth and Dave were there - but hey, sometimes short is sweet. If I do a solo show in the future, I’ll make sure there is more content.

I don’t know about the peer pressure. My point of view is more the security risk angle. Beth your blog is vulnerable with a previous version of WP.
But at least now Beth will be able to upgrade to 2.5.1! Beth…upgrade NOW!!!
